Environmental Agency announces the publication of the environmental impact assessment (EIA) programme of the Project to remove sludge and sludge from Lake Põlva.

The EIA was launched by letter No DM-112168-2 OF 10.11.2020 of the Environment Agency.
The objective of the proposed action is the removal of sludge and sludge from Lake Põlva (dredging of waters of 310 000 m3). Decontamination of lake sediments and sludge is important in order to prevent lake growth and reduce nutrient transfer to the Oraraiver. The lake of Põlva (WATER 2111610) is located in the cadastral parcel of the lake of Põlva (cadastral identification 62001:004:0069) in the town of Põlva, Põlva.
