Notice of public display of and public consultation of an environmental impact assessment programme

Keskkonnaamet publishes this announcement under Section 16(2)(1) of the environmental impact assessment and Management system Act (KeHJS).
Environmental Agency announces the publication of the environmental impact assessment (EIA) programme of the Project for reclamation of Lake Kernu.
The EIA was initiated by letter No 6-3/21/6267-2 of the Environment Agency 12.04.2021.
The objective of the planned operation is the restoration of the Kernu barrage (dredging of a body of water with a total capacity of 130 000 m3) and, at the same time as the extraction of sludge, it is planned to construct a widening of the surface of the road damp. The construction of a tip extension is necessary in order to reduce the filtration through the surface and to make the movement of pedestrians safer. The Lake Kernu is located in an Kohatu village in the municipality of Saue on the cadastral unit Kernu Lake (cadastral identification: 29701:005:0425).

The public consultation of the EIA programme takes place at 10.08.2021 at 16.30 a.m. in the Haiba administrative centre (Riisipere Tea 6, Haiba village, Saue Municipality, 76301) and in the online environment Microsoft Teams. Please register in advance for those wishing to participate in the online environment by announcing a request to participate at the kristy.kaarid@keskkonnaamet.ee email address no later than 09.08.2021. Before a public consultation takes place, registrants shall be provided with a web link to participate in the consultation..
