Decree No 97 of the Minister for the Environment of 06.02.2013 prohibits the use of gillnets with a mesh size of no less than 130 mm from the shore in the Lake Peipsi and from the shore in the Lake Läm and Pihkva from more than 500 metres in 2013 in the fisheries exploiting gillnets with a mesh size of no less than 130 mm. 31.08.2013. entry into force of Decree No 59 of the Minister for the Environment of 26.08.2013. amending Decree No 42 of the Minister for the Environment of 18 December 2012 entitled “temporary restrictions on fishing in the lakes of Peipsi, Lämmi and Pihkva in 2013”. After the entry into force of that Regulation, it is prohibited to use less than 1 kilometre from the coast in the case of Lämmi Peipsi and less than 110 millimetres from the coast in the case of Lake Läm and Pihva than 500 metres from the coast in the case of gillnets, including whitefish. Pursuant to paragraph 19(3) of the Law on fishing, the Minister for the Environment may temporarily impose a restriction by decree. Since the catch of whitefish with gillnets has been regulated since 31.08.2013 by decree of the Minister for the Environment, I shall decide, in accordance with paragraph 19(3) of the Law on fishing, as follows:

1. Annuls Decree No 97 of the Minister for the Environment of 06.02.2013, entitled “prohibition of gillnets used for fishing for skipjack fisheries in the lakes of Peipsi, Lämmi and Pihkva in 2013”;
2. A decree to be published in the official publication Ametlikud Teadaanded and on the internet on the website of the Ministry of the Environment
