Notifications of the creation of a hunting area

Pursuant to paragraph 11(6) of the Law on hunting, the Environment Agency publishes the following notice:

The Environment Agency announces that it has initiated the establishment of a hunting area in the Western Lahemaa
.
The integration of protected areas into hunting areas and the creation of new hunting areas are planned in the hunting development plan approved by Decree No 1323 of the Minister for the Environment of 23.09.2008, the objectives of which are to increase the contribution of the third sector, to ensure flexible and effective hunting regulations and to maintain a hunting culture specific to Estonia. According to the Development Plan, in order to achieve these objectives, the territories of larger nature reserves and national parks must be shared between adjacent hunting areas or new hunting areas must be created
.Under the Law on hunting, the Lahemaa national Park is a hunting area which does not form part of any hunting area in which hunting is permitted, subject to certain restrictions, in both the SPA and the SPA, but is prohibited in the
.With regard to the Lahemaa national Park, the Environment Agency has undertaken not to link nature conservation areas to adjacent hunting areas, but to create two new hunting areas: Western Lahemaa and Eastern Lahemaa
The built-up western Lahemaa hunting area is based in its entirety in the Lahemaa national Park in Harju County, in the municipality of Kuusalu,
.The western Lahemaa hunting area is set up by a decree of the Director-General of the Environment Agency, the draft of which and the map of the hunting area can be consulted on the website of the Environment Agency at the Tallinn office of the www.keskkonnaamet.ee, the Harju-Järva-Rapla region (Viljandi mnt 16, Tallinn) and the municipality of Kuusalu (Mõisa tee 17, Kiiu subbasin) until 31.03.2014.
The Environment Agency proposes not to hold a public session in the procedure for the establishment of a hunting area in the Western Lahemaa
