The Ministry of the Environment publishes a notice pursuant to paragraphs 41 and 37(1) of the Law on environmental impact assessment and management systems (KeHJS).

The OÜ Eesti Keskkonnauuringute Keskus informs the
of the publication of the proposal for a draft “Development Plan for Adaptation to Climate change 2030” and its Strategic environmental assessment (sea) report.
The Ministry of the Environment initiated the Strategic environmental assessment of the “Development Plan for Adaptation to Climate change 2030” by Decree No 293 of 25.03.2015,
.The development plan is designed to ensure the readiness and ability of Estonia to adapt to the effects of climate change. This means that the entire population, public and local authorities, the private sector and businesses, as well as society at large, are aware of climate change, are capable of properly assessing, responding to and adapting to the risks of change and thus avoiding the negative effects of climate change and maximising its positive effects on
.The effects of climate change affect Estonia as well as Europe as a whole (including the border States of Estonia)

Proposals, objections and questions on the KSH report can be submitted to Narva mnt 7A Tallinn or Kati-Liis.Kensap@envir.ee until 28.04.2016.

The public consultation on the KSH report will take place on 29 April, starting at 14.00, at the Ministry of the Environment (room 103), Narva mnt 7A, 15172 Tallinn. Interested parties are invited to make known their presence at the Kati-Liis Kensap address in Kati-Liis.Kensap@envir.ee no later than 28.04.2016.
