The purpose of the grant is compensate an undertaking engaged in fishing, aquaculture or the processing of fishery and aquaculture products for the difference in the price of diesel purchased during the period 1 March to 31 December 2022. Undertakings which have obtained an exemption from excise duty issued by the tax and Customs Board in 2022 for the purchase of diesel used for professional fishing and whose consumption of diesel is clearly attributable to its fishing activity shall be eligible for such a refund.
