Keskkonnaamet publishes this announcement under Section 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

Keskkonnaamet announces that aktsiaselts TOFTAN (registry code: 10135758) (address Varese küla, Võru vald, Võru maakond, 66642) the draft environmental permit has been prepared. The main activities of the company are the production of lumber (EMTAK 16101) and the supply of steam and air conditioned for additional activities (EMTAK 35301). The emission sources of the installation are located in the village of Varese in Võru Parish, Võru County on cadastral units: Saeveski 76702:002:0044; Saekaatri 76702:002:0141; Varese saeveski 76702:002:0261; Shield land 76702:002:0045; Saekaatri 91701:001:0810; Saeveski 91701:001:1855; New Uue-Villemi 91701:001:0813 and Joshua 76701:001:0250.

The installation has seven emission sources: boiler house chimney 1, boiler house chimney 2, sawdust depot Toftan 1, chopped wood germ depot Toftan 1, sawdust and chopped wood depot Toftan 2, dryers Toftan 1 and dryers Toftan 2. The total heat input of the combustion plant shall be called heat output 15,3 MWth. Two cyclones are used as traps in the boiler house to capture particulate matter and heavy metals. The environmental permit is amended because the permit must be brought into conformity with Regulation No 44 of the Minister of the Environment “emission limit values for pollutants released from combustion plants outside the scope of the industrial emissions Act, requirements for monitoring pollutant emissions and criteria for compliance with emission limit values”. The Environmental Board shall make a proposal for hearing the matter without conducting a public session.
