Keskkonnaamet publishes this announcement under Section 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

Keskkonnaamet declares that Krüüdneri Karjäär OÜ (registry code: 10698390) (address Näituse tn 21, Tartu linn, Tartu linn, Tartu maakond, 50409) the application submitted by the party for an environmental permit for extraction of mineral resources (hereinafter extraction permit) in the mining allocation of the sand quarry of Vissi has been accepted for processing. Krüüdneri Karjäär OÜ applies for an extraction permit on Elva metskond 57 (cadastral code 52801:009:0703) and Elva metskond 40 (cadastral code 52801:001:1024) on the properties belonging to the Republic of Estonia in Õo Parish, Tartu County. The land manager is the Ministry of Climate Affairs, an authorised authority the State Riigimetsa Majandamise Keskus.
The proposed mining allocation fully comprises 3 blocks of active consumable stock of Vissi sand Mall (registry card No 1014) construction gravel and 4 blocks of active consumable stock of filling sand. The entire stock to be extracted is located above the groundwater level.
The areas of the Vissi sand quarry mining reserve and its catchment area are 4.12 ha and 5.30 ha respectively. According to the application for extraction permit, as of 30.06.2023, the active supply of construction gravel of block 3 of the mineral deposit is 230 ash m3 of extracted stock is 157 ash m3 and the active supply of loading sand of block 4 is 165 ash m3 of extracted stock is 133 ash m3. The volume of the coating on the mining claim is 138 ash m3, of which the soil volume is 13 ash m3. Mineral resource uses include road repair and maintenance and construction activities. The direction of restoration is profit-making land (forest land). The licence applied for shall be valid for 15 years.

Until the issue or refusal to issue environmental permit decision is made, any person has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the To the Environmental Board. The draft of Decision to grant or refuse to grant environmental permit will be announced by the Environmental Board in the Official Announcements.
