Public from: 03.11.2023
Public until: 04.11.2123
Keskkonnaamet publishes this announcement under Section 58(3) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

Keskkonnaamet announces that  Ericsson Eesti Aktsiaselts (registry code: 10005211) (address Valukoja tn 8/1, Lasnamäe linnaosa, Tallinn, Harju maakond, 11415) environmental permit No L.ÕV.HA-51935 has been amended on the basis of the application.

The main activity of the operator is the manufacture of telecommunications equipment (EMTAK code 26301). Existing sources of emissions from the installation include boiler house (S1), production ventilation (S2), washroom ventilation (S3) and general ventilation of B-grey production (S4).

The company makes circuit boards (printed cricut board) using, inter alia, automated surface assembly technology (SMT). In the manufacture of printed circuit boards, soldering paste is applied to the workpiece by means of a stencil. The solvent used to clean the stencils is collected and disposed of, some of the organic solvent is volatile. The factory has 7 SMT lines and each line is part of a remelting soldering oven. Each oven has its own ventilation system. Pollutants from both SMT furnaces and locust-drawn workstations are released via general production ventilation. Emissions from one SMT oven are released through general ventilation for B-grey production.

At the end of the production phase, stencils for the installation of soldering paste are cleaned using organic solvents in a room separated by a special washing process. At the same time, the workplace has also gone wrong for handwashing print plate workpieces with isopropanol. The organic solvents used are collected and disposed of. Washroom processes are ventilated, pollutants are released into the ambient air through the hole on the wall.

The plant uses up to 3,056 tonnes of organic solvents per year. The content of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in chemicals is up to 2,646 tonnes. Both production and use of fuel in boiler houses take place around the clock throughout the year.

The boiler house has three combustion plants with a rated thermal input of 1,236 MWth. There's a boiler running all the time. In case of increased heat load, the second boiler will also be activated. The third boiler is in store. Up to 700 ash Nm ³ of natural gas is used per year.

In addition to natural gas, the authorisation was supplemented by the use of light fuel oil (up to 150 tonnes per year). The boiler house has 3 5 m3 diesel fuel tanks for backup heating in case of gas interruptions.
