Keskkonnaamet publishes this announcement under Subsection 2 of § 47 of the General Part of the Environmental Code Act (KeÜS).

Keskkonnaamet announces that VALIO EESTI AKTSIASELTS (registry code: 10261303) (address Harju maakond, Tallinn, Kristiine linnaosa, Sõpruse pst 145, 13425) on 28.12.2023, submitted an application for amendment of the environmental integrated permit No KKL-500259 of the vessel Meierei of Valio Eesti AS. Address of the place of business of the installation Valmaotsa village, rural municipality of the ship, Tartu County.

According to the current integrated environmental permit No KKL-500259 (hereinafter integrated permit), the installed production capacity of the installation is 350 tonnes of raw milk per day. The obligation to issue an integrated environmental permit arises from subsection 10 (1) 6) of Regulation No 89 of the Government of the Republic of 06.06.2013. “List of sub-activities and threshold capacities in which an integrated permit is required for the operation of an installation” established on the basis of subsection 19 (3) of the industrial emissions Act (hereinafter THS).

An amendment to an integrated environmental permit is applied for in connection with the introduction of two new wells (a group of wells is to be created), increasing groundwater abstraction, increasing the load of a sewage treatment plant and establishing a new rainwater outlet. New emission sources will also be added (with waste water treatment plant emission sources (3 PC)).

Until a decision is made to grant or refuse an integrated environmental permit, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to To the Environmental Board. The completion of the draft decision to grant or refuse an integrated environmental permit shall be announced by the Keskkonnaamet in the Official Announcements.
