Keskkonnaamet publishes this announcement under Subsection 2 of § 47 of the General Part of the Environmental Code Act (KeÜS).

Keskkonnaamet declares that OÜ Laaseri Puit (registry code: 10948289) (address Joosepi, Varbola küla, Märjamaa vald, Rapla maakond, 78203) the application for an environmental permit for the limestone quarry of Orava V submitted on 18.03.2024 (registered in the Environmental Decisions information System EAGLE 18.03.2024 with the number DM-127841-1) has been accepted for processing.

The company Laaseri Puit OÜ is applying for an environmental permit to extract low-mark building limestone from the mining allocation. The company wants to use the material in road construction and construction. The applicant plans to make maximum use of the mineral resources applied for extraction in the production of quality production. It is also planned to make the most of the fine particles (0.063 mm) produced in the production of limestone products to ensure the quality of the mixtures, as well as the first layer under the bare layer, which is not normally used in this way but rather used as aggregate for the cleaning of quarries or, in some cases, treated as waste.

The Squirrel V limestone quarry applied for is located in the village of Ülejõe in Märjamaa Parish, Raplamaa, east of the main road of Tallinn - Pärnu-Ikla (ID: 4) ~ 2.6 km. The proposed mining claim is located on private land within the boundaries of the cadastral unit Pantma (identifier: 50401:006:0110). The mountain allotment (area 12.34 ha) of the Squirrel V limestone quarry applied for overlaps with the active supply block of the Squirrel limestone deposit, block 13 at. The mountainside shall fully cover the block. In depth, the boundary of the mining claim is 13 lounges of the active supply stock block located at an absolute height of 42.4 ABS m. the boundaries of the requested service area (area 13.24 ha) were selected on the basis of the boundary of the land unit Pantma (identifier: 50401:006:0110) and the non-public road adjacent to the west.

The proposed mining allocation for the Squirrel V limestone quarry is 1088 ash m ³ of building limestone (low-mark building limestone), the quantity of mineral resources to be extracted in the applied quarry is 1025 ash m ³. An environmental permit for the squirrel V limestone quarry is applied for 30 years with an average annual mining capacity of 49 ash m ³. The direction of the extracted land shall be the water body and the profit-making land.
