Keskkonnaamet publishes this announcement under Section 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

Keskkonnaamet announces that OÜ HANSO MK (registry code: 11043389) (address Hanso, Uniküla, Kastre vald, Tartu maakond, 62121) on the basis of the application submitted by the party, a draft decision on the granting/amendment of environmental permit No L.MK/321416 and a draft permit have been drawn up in the Mountain allocation of the Kukemetsa gravel quarry. Kukemetsa karjäär is located in Tartu Parish, Tartu County, Tartu village on the Kukemetsa sand quarry 4 property (cadastral unit identifier 79402:002:0159, the purpose of the land is 100% mining land, area 5.46 ha). The owner of the registered immovable is the Republic of Estonia, the administrator is the Ministry of Regional Affairs and Agriculture and the authorised authority is the Maa-amet. The mining allotment overlaps with the existing mining allotment Kukemetsa forest gravel career. The area of the proposed mining claim is 5.34 ha and the area of its service area is 5.46 ha. As of 01.10.2023, the remainder of the gravel quarry in Kukemetsa is as follows: 7 block - filling sand at - active consumable stock 65.0 ash m ³ 8 block - filling sand at - active consumable stock 38.0 ash m ³ 9 block - construction gravel at - active consumable stock 60.0 ash m ³ 12 block - construction gravel at - active consumable stock 195, according to the application for amendment of the extraction permit, the quantity of stock to be extracted on the mining claim construction gravel (block 9 and 12) is 200.0 ash m ³ and the quantity extracted from the filling sand (block 7 and 8) is 80, ash m ³. The average annual rate of extraction of mineral resources is 20.0 ash ³. The amount of cover (incl. soil) is 18 ash ³. Mineral resource uses include road repair and maintenance and construction activities. The direction of restoration is the water body and grassland. The licence applied for shall be valid for 15 years. The exclusion conditions of an extraction permit shall be determined as: 1. Refuelling and repair of equipment or machinery may take place at a designated service site. 2. Career working time to schedule the time period from 7:00 to 19:00 on working days. Noisy activities (operation of crushing-sorting node) should only be performed from 8:00 to 17:00. Work on holidays must be avoided; 3. As a result of extraction of mineral resources and transportation of extracted material, the standard noise level and ambient air pollution level at residential buildings located around the quarry shall not exceed the limits established by legislation.
