The Tarbijakaitse ja Tehnilise Järelevalve Amet publishes this announcement under § 12 (1¹)2) of Environmental Impact Assessment and Environmental Management System Act.

Tarbijakaitse ja Tehnilise Järelevalve Amet as a decision-maker announces that building permit procedure 19.06.2024 by letter No 16-12/24-07491-008 Mining Port facilities AH1, AH2, AH3 and AH4 environmental impact assessment (EIA) has not started.

The objective of the proposed action is to complete the reconstruction of the Mining Harbour in accordance with the requirements of modern safe vessel traffic – to stop the further degradation of existing wave breakers and to ensure the safe standing of ships in the port, navigation in the aquarium and at the gate.

EIA was not started according to clauses 6 (1) 17) and 17 ¹, 11 (2) ¹), 2 ², 2 ³, 6) and 8) of the KeHJS, the environmental impact assessment report carried out by OÜ E-KONSULT in 2007 “Environmental impact assessment of the reconstruction project of wave breakers in mine Harbour waters” (work No E1040) and the preliminary environmental impact assessment prepared by Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian Environment OÜ (10705517) “preliminary environmental impact assessment of the activities of reconstruction of wave breakers in mine Harbour waters” (work No 24KK12).
