Public from: 04.08.2025
Public until: 05.08.2125
Keskkonnaamet publishes this announcement under Section 58(3) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

Keskkonnaamet announces that  Verston Eesti OÜ (registry code: 11947047) (address Pärnu tn 128, Paide linn, Paide linn, Järva maakond, 72720) on the basis of the application submitted by the party, environmental permit No L.MK/326702 for the extraction of mineral resources was amended in the sand quarry of the Pikametsa. The new mining claim area is 3.63 ha and the new mining claim service area is 4.46 ha. The previous area of the mining claim was 3.64 ha and the area of the mining claim service area was 4.64 ha. Thus, the area of the mining claim decreased by 0.01 ha and the area of the mining claim service area decreased by 0.18 ha. The area was reduced on the basis of the approval of the Transport Board, where consent has been given for the approval of mineral resources in the 88 km 11,11-11,22 road protection zone as a reserve and future extraction of mineral resources with a minimum distance of 20 m from the edge of the road cover. In addition to the stock of active stock block 1 (105.096 ash m ³) of the field of Pikametsa (registry card No 934), the mining allocation covers the stock of active stock block 3 (115 ash m ³) remaining on the ground. Compared to the previous environmental permit, the quantity of mineral reserves, the average production volume, the purpose of use of the extracted land (grassland added to forest land) and the area of the mining claim service area will change. The period of validity of the authorisation shall remain the same. The exclusion conditions of an extraction permit are: 1. In order to minimise possible pollution, the maintenance of mining and processing equipment must be regularly inspected and the maintenance of machinery carried out only on special maintenance sites designated for that purpose or in places designated for that purpose outside the quarry. 2. In order to eliminate possible breakdowns and fuel or oil pollution caused by accidents, the quarry must have the necessary amount of absorbent (e.g. peat, sawdust or synthetic absorbents) to collect the pollution. 3. In the event of an accident, the pollution shall be immediately localised and the Environmental Board, the Police and border Guard Board and the Rescue Board shall be notified. 4. Extraction of mineral resources is permitted from Monday to Friday between 7.00 and 21.00. It is prohibited to mine and export mineral resources on public holidays. If the need to work on weekends and public holidays becomes evident, the local government and the nearest residents must be informed thereof in advance and their consent must be obtained.
