Notice of initiation of a prospecting permit procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice pursuant to paragraph 30(2) of the Land Law (MaaPS).

The Environment Agency States that the request submitted by Osaühing Metsagrupp (registry code: 10044866) (address: Papiniidu 5, 80010 Pärnu) on 31.03.2017 for a permit to prospect for the Koonga IV exploration room (registered under document management system of the Environment Agency: 31.03.2017 No 12-2/17/4329) has been accepted.
The request for a geological survey is made in the municipality of Koonga, Pärnu, on land owned privately by the village of Järve, Lauri (cadastral identification No 33404:002:0254, new registration No 303706). The area covered by the requested survey room is 25.43 ha. The survey room overlaps with Koonga 9 of the active consumable stock of building dolomite in the Kone dolomite deposit (event No 0077) and block 4 of the active reserve. The purpose of the study is to identify the distribution of mineral resources (building dolstone), the thickness of the useful layer, the quality and the conditions of extraction in order to assess the quantity of mineral resources as an active consumable resource for which mining permission could be sought. The study plans to build up up to 14 wells with a depth of up to 16 m; other planned ad hoc work: laboratory work, topographic surveying; hydrogeological experimental work: water level measurement, test bench. The survey is carried out by Oleühing Eesti Geological Centre (registry code 10140653, address Kadus Kadaka tee 82, 12618 Tallinn). The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 3 years.

The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse a permit for prospecting, any person shall have the right to submit to the Environment Agency reasoned proposals and objections to the application. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the louna@keskkonnaamet.ee e-mail address or to the postal address Paala tee 4, 71014 iljandi.

The draft decision to grant or refuse authorisation for prospecting shall be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
