Notice of initiation of a prospecting permit procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice pursuant to paragraph 30(2) of the Land Law (MaaPS).

The Environment Agency States that the request submitted by Osaühing Eesti Klustik (registry code: 10126848) (address River 3, 10151 Tallinn) on 24.04.2017 for authorisation to prospect for a marana exploration room (registered under document Management system of the Environment Agency No 12-2/17/5496) has been granted.
The geological survey is requested in the municipality of Pärnu, in the village of Marana, in the municipality of Saarde, on the state-owned land Lodja district 17 (cadastral code 71101:001:0324), which is managed by the Ministry of the Environment and the Centre for the Riigimetsa Majandamise Keskus as an authorised authority. The area covered by the requested survey room is 23.03 ha. The purpose of the study is to identify the distribution of mineral resources (sand, gravel), the thickness of the useful layer, the quality and the conditions of extraction in order to assess the quantity of mineral resources as an active consumable resource for which mining permission could be sought. The study plans to build up up up to 30 wells and up to 20 exploration outlets with a depth of up to 15 m; other planned ad hoc work: laboratory work, topographical surveying; hydrogeological experimental work: measuring water levels. The survey is carried out by OÜ Inseneribüroo STEIGER (registry code 11206437, address Männiku tee 104, 11216 Tallinn). The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 2 years.

The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse a permit for prospecting, any person shall have the right to submit to the Environment Agency reasoned proposals and objections to the application. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the louna@keskkonnaamet.ee e-mail address or to the postal address Paala tee 4, 71014 iljandi.

The draft decision to grant or refuse authorisation for prospecting shall be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
