Notice of initiation of a prospecting permit procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice pursuant to paragraph 30(2) of the Land Law (MaaPS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for authorisation to prospect for the Tammiste survey room submitted by as Tariston (registry code: 10887843) (address Pärnu mnt 158/1, 11317 Tallinn) on 22.08.2017 (registered under document management system of the Environment Agency No 12-2/17/9781) has been accepted.
The application for a geological survey is made in the municipality of Sauga, Pärnu, on the state-owned land of the village of Kilksama, Surju, district 48 (cadastral mark 73001:001:1395), the management of which is the Ministry of the Environment and the authorised authority of the Centre for the Management of State Forests. The area covered by the requested survey room is 24.79 ha. The purpose of the study is to conduct a consumption inventory survey to determine the distribution of mineral resources (building sand and gravel, charging sand and gravel), the thickness, quality and extraction conditions of the useful layer in order to assess the quantity of mineral resources as an active consumption stock for which mining permission could be sought. The study plans to set up up up to 25 exploration voids and up to 25 wells with a depth of up to 15 m; other planned ad hoc work: Determination of the steel composition of the material, the physico-mechanical properties of the filtration module and the gravel; topographical surveying; hydrogeological testing: measuring water levels. The survey is carried out by OÜ Inseneribüroo STEIGER (registry code 11206437, address Männiku tee 104, 11216 Tallinn). The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 2 years.

The application for authorisation to prospect and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest Office of the Environment Agency (+372 674 4803, info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse a permit for prospecting, any person shall have the right to submit to the Environment Agency reasoned proposals and objections to the application. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the louna@keskkonnaamet.ee e-mail address or to the postal address Paala tee 4, 71014 iljandi.

The draft decision to grant or refuse authorisation for prospecting shall be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
