Notice of initiation of a prospecting permit procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice pursuant to paragraph 30(2) of the Land Law (MaaPS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for authorisation to prospect for the Jägala Kivi OÜ (registered under registry code: 14332869) (address Aiandi TEE 22, Valley of Viimsi, Municipality of Viimsi, Harju County, 74001) for a prospecting permit for the Jägala or exploration room (registered under document management system 21.09.2017 No 12-1/17/10791 of the Environment Agency) has been granted.

The geological survey is requested in Harju County, Jõelähtme, the village of Jägala, for the State-owned cadastral unit Anija Region 19 (cadastral title 24505:002:0115), owned by the Republic of Estonia, managed by the Ministry of the Environment and, as an authorised authority, by the State Riigimetsa Majandamise Keskus. The area covered by the requested survey room is 98,83 ha. The geological study shall be carried out in order to clarify the potential for exploiting and extracting material (building limestone) in the Jägala or exploration facility. This is a consumable stock survey which plans to build up up up to 55 wells. The investigation depth is up to 30 m. in addition, it is planned to carry out the following ad-hoc work in the course of the study: measurement of groundwater level, sampling for laboratory analysis, if necessary, testing dumping. The study is carried out by Jägala Kivi OÜ (registry code 14332869, address Aiandi TEE 22, District of Viimsi, Municipality of Viimsi, County Harju, 74001).

The application shall be digitally accessible from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/

until a decision to grant or refuse authorisation for prospecting has been taken, everyone shall have the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the e-mail address pohja@keskkonnaamet.ee or to the postal address Viljandi mnt 16, 11216 Tallinn.

The draft decision to grant or refuse authorisation for prospecting shall be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
