Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for authorisation to exploit the mineral resources of the Altpere sand quarry submitted by OÜ SISEK (registry code: 12814305) (address: District of West Viru, Municipality of Vinni, restricted village, Vaguri) has been accepted. Authorisation is sought for the extraction of building sand in the Altja-Rutja sandy deposit (registry card No 0368) in the Altpere sandy pasture. The mountain allocation for the alpine sandy quarry is located in the municipality of Haljala in Lääne-Viru, in the village of Pajuveski, on the state-owned land of the Altpere (cadastral mark 88703:002:2030). The area of the mountain allocation applied for is 2.71 ha and that of the service area of the mountain allocation is 2.71 ha. The active consumption of building sand is 50 thousand m ³ and the extracted stock is 49 thousand m ³. An average annual extraction rate of 5 thousand m ³ is requested. Mineral resources are used in road and civil engineering. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 10 years.

The application for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the offices of the Environment Agency in Jõgeva (AIA 2, Stadt Jõgeva, tel 5621 5670, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to an e-mail address in info@keskkonnaamet.ee or to a postal address at garage 2, 48306 Jõgeva.

The preparation of the draft mining permit will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the official publication Ametlikud Teadaanded.
