Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for authorisation to exploit the mineral resources of OÜ Ikaros Grupp (registry code: 10477542) (address: University 12, Tartu, 51003 Tartu County) has been accepted.

Authorisation to exploit mineral resources is sought for the State-owned Cadastral Division Narva Division 102 (Cadastral Identifier 51106:001:0187) in the city of Narva in the district of Ida-Viru. The area applied for includes Narva's limestone deposit (registry card No 0052).

The mountain allocation applied for is a limestone quarry in Kadastiku IV, with an area of 21.77 ha and an area of 24.34 ha for the mountain allocation. According to the authorisation for the extraction of mineral resources, the amount of active consumable stock of building limestone is 1 288 thousand m ³ and the stock to be extracted is 1 259 thousand m ³. An average annual extraction rate of 45 thousand m ³ is requested. The applications of mineral resources include the construction of roads and general roads. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 30 years.

The Environment Agency checked the compliance of the application for authorisation to exploit mineral resources with the requirements laid down in the Mineral Act and the environmental impact assessment and Management system Act. That application complied with the form of order sought.

The application for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest Office of the Environment Agency.
The application is available digitally in the document management system of the Environment Agency, http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as an authorisation decision is taken, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. Once the draft mining permit has been completed, the concession-granting authority shall provide additional information in the official publication Ametlikud Teadaanded.
