Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for modification of the mining permit for OÜ Kiviõli Chemical industry assets (registry code: 11873754) (address: District of Ida-Viru, Municipality of Lüganus, City of Kiviõli, Turku 3, 43125) has been accepted. The purpose of this application is to extend the validity of MINERAL authorisation No IVIM-007 for a period of 15 years, for the extinction of quarries and for the restoration of excavated land.

The request for amendment of the mining permit is made in the municipality of Lüganus, Ida-Viru, on a state-owned land in the village of Moldova, a gravel quarry in Moldova (cadastral identification 43701:002:0197 and use of 100% mining land), a gravel deposit in Moldova (register card No 0174).

The mountain allocation is known as the Moldova gravel quarry, with an area of 5,65 ha and an area of 6,61 ha for the mountain allocation. According to the authorisation for the extraction of mineral resources, the active consumption of the building gravel for the mining reserves is 158,2 thousand m ³ and the extracted reserves are 139,2 thousand m ³. An average annual extraction rate of 15 thousand m ³ is requested. Mineral uses include construction and road construction. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for is 15.06.2034.

The decision to initiate the procedure for amending the mining permit and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest Office of the Environment Agency.
The application shall be digitally accessible in the http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/ system of the Environment Agency

until the decision to amend the permit is taken, everyone shall have the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the e-mail address info@keskkonnaamet.ee or to the postal address Viljandi mnt 16, 11216 Tallinn, tel 5698 0504.

The draftsman of the draft decision amending the mining permit shall be further informed by the authorising authority in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
