Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for authorisation to exploit the Pitsalu II sand quarry (registered under document management system No PV 10-5/15/20559 of the Environment Agency 10.09.2015) submitted by the public limited company Eesti teed (registry code: 12249762) (address in city tn 6, 44306 Rakvere) 09.2015 has been accepted.
The Pitsalu II sand quarry applied for is located in the municipality of Pärnu, in the municipality of Pärnu, in the village of Pitsalu, on a privately owned property in the Crown of Kangimaa (cadastral mark 18801:003:0109, new registration number 787506). The requested mountain allocation for the Pitsalu II sandy pasture includes the Pitsalu sandy deposit (registry card No 0920, basic stock building sand) for the active consumable stock of the building gravel, block 5, and the active consumption stock of the filling sand, block 6. The mountain allocation applied for is 9.96 ha and its catchment area is 10.88 ha. This is a new mining allocation with the following minerals: the active consumption of the building gravel is 137 thousand m ³, of which the extracted stock is 133 thousand m ³ and the active consumption of the filling sand is 250 thousand m ³, of which the extracted stock is 242 thousand m ³. The average annual rate for the extraction of mineral resources is requested to be 25 thousand m ³, the fields of use being road and general construction. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 15 years.

The application for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest Office of the Environment Agency (+372 680 7438, info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the info@keskkonnaamet.ee e-mail address or to the postal address Paala tee 4, 71014 iljandi.

The preparation of the draft decision granting or refusing the mining permit shall be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
