Start of publication: 16.08.2018
End of publication: 17.08.2118
The Environment Agency publishes a notice pursuant to paragraph 30(2) of the Land Law (MaaPS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for authorisation to prospect for mineral resources submitted by Osaühing Thorsen Group (registry code: 10693955) (address: District of West Viru, Municipality of lesser Maarja, Senior Maarja Aevik, Tehno tn 6, 46202) has been accepted. Authorisation to prospect for mineral resources shall be sought at the Raigu II exploration facility.

The catchment area of the raigu II research room is located in the village of Raigu in the municipality of lesser Maarja in Lääne-Viru on the Ilmandu property owned by Osaühing Thorsen Grupp (cadastral mark 92701:001:0700). The requested exploration room partly overlaps with 1 block of the active consumption of the filling gravel of the Raigu gravel deposit (registry card No 0914). Similarly, the “Raigu II” exploration area partly overlaps with the “Raigu gravel” quarry associated with the existing mining permit (permit No L.MK/322586; licensee Osaühing Thorsen Group) and its catchment area. The catchment area of the Iron II Research room is 16,68 ha. The mineral resources under examination are technological limestone. The proposed study aims at clarifying the distribution, thickness, quality and excavation conditions of the mineral resources in the survey room at a level that would allow the stock to be confirmed as a consumable stock. The intended use of the mineral resource is the production of lime. In the course of the geological survey, it is planned to build up up up to 15 wells and up to 15 exploration voids at a depth of up to 7 m. Osaühing Thorsen Grupp will apply for a permit for a period of 3 years

for an application for a geological survey permit and other relevant documents will be available at the offices of the Environment Agency in Jõgeva (AIA 2, Jõgeva City, tel 5621 5670, e-mail: info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
