Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the request submitted by OSAÜHING KIIKIIKIIKIIKIIKIIKI ZONE (registry code: 14273374) (address Harju County, Kuusalu Municipality, Kiiu Aevik, Vana-Narva mnt 3, 74604) for amendment and extension of Mineral Mining permit No HARM-067 has been accepted (registered under document management system of the Environment Agency 24.9.2018 under number 12-2/18/15582).

The limited company KOKA ZONE is seeking an extension of the mountain allocation of the Kuusalu sandy quarry on the Kuusalu deposit and a 15-year extension of mining permit HARM-067.

The sand quarry of Kuusalu II is located in Harju County, in the commune of Kuusalu, in the State-owned cadastral parcels Kuusalu sand quarry 2 (cadastritus 35203:004:0065) and Liivalao (cadastritentius 35203:004:0179), which are managed by the Ministry of the Environment and an authorised authority, the Maa-amet Authority. The area covered by the mountain allocation is 20.84 ha and the area covered by the mountain allocation is 24.64 ha. As of 30.06.2018, within the limit of the mountain allocation applied for, the active consumption of building sand is 1758 thousand m3, of which 824 thousand m3 are mined. The average annual mineral extraction rate is 60 thousand m3.

The decision to initiate the procedure for applications for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest Office of the Environment Agency (tel 674 4804, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the e-mail address info@keskkonnaamet.ee or to the postal address Viljandi mnt 16, 11216 Tallinn.

The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
