Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency reports that OÜ KTM VARA (registry code: 10289823) (address Jõerahu TN 3, Vorbus village, Tartu City, 61412 Tartu County) submitted an application for authorisation to extract mineral resources from the Pikknurme dolovik quarry. The quarry of Pikknurme doloivari applied for is located in Põltsamaa, Jõgeva district, in Pikknurme village, on private land, in the cadastral parcels Hinnu (register part No 1986735, cadastral identification No 61102:003:0034 and 61102:003:0039), Inno (register part No 1685635, cadastral identification 61102:003:0040), new surface (register part No 1986835, cadastrit:1061003:0035). The mountain allocation of a Pikknurme doloic quarry consists of 1 blocks of the active consumables of higher-arged building doloc in the Pikknurse doloic deposit (registry card No 0901, building dolostone as a basic stock).

The area of the mountain allocation applied for is 21.27 hectares and that of the service area of the mountain allocation is 26.25 hectares. According to the application for authorisation for the extraction of mineral resources, on 31.05.2018 the active consumption of high-level building doloc in the Pikknurme doloival quarry is 3616 thousand m ³ and the extracted stock is 3459 thousand m ³. An average annual extraction rate of 116 thousand m ³ is applied for, the exploitation of the mineral is fragmented into road surfaces, aggregates. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 30 years.

The decision to initiate the procedure for applications for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest office of the Environment Agency (tel 776 2419, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
