Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for authorisation submitted by THE public limited company express carrier (registry code: 10111516) (address Harju County, Harku Municipality, Harkujärve village, Lake Järvekalda tee 1) on 21.08.2018 to exploit the mountain deposit of the sandy pasture of the Kauoja has been accepted.

Authorisation to exploit mineral resources is requested in Pärnu County, Saarde, Lodja village, for the State-owned cadastral unit Lodja 02.6 on the site (CC. 71102:001:0382, the State property manager is the Ministry of the Environment and the State Riigimetsa Majandamise Keskus as the authorised authority). The requested mountain allocation for the Kauoja's sandy pasture consists entirely of Block 1 of the Kauoja consumable stock of building sand in the Caucasus's sandy deposit (registry card No 0957) and Block 2 of the active consumable stock of the filling sand.

The area of the mountain allocation applied for is 20.75 ha and the area of that service is 35.10 ha. Within the limit of the mining allocation applied for, there are the following minerals: the active consumption of building sand is 239 thousand m ³ and the excavated stock is 228 thousand m ³; the active consumption of filler sand is 612 thousand m ³, of which the excavated stock is 521 thousand m ³. An average annual extraction rate of 60 thousand m ³ is applied for, the exploitation of the mineral is construction and filling sand. The Mining Authority is designated as A aktsiaselts KIIRKANDUR (registry code 10111516; address Harju County, Harku Municipality, Harkujärve village, Järvekalda tee 1, 76902). The mining permit applied for is valid for 15 years.

The decision to initiate the procedure for applications for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest office of the Environment Agency (tel 776 2419, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).

until a decision is taken on the granting or refusal of mining authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the info@keskkonnaamet.ee e-mail address or to the postal address Paala tee 4, 71014 iljandi.

The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
