Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency reports that RoadWest OÜ (registry code: 11137400) (address: Valga mnt 7, Elva City, Elva Municipality, 61504 Tartu County) submitted an application for extension of the period of validity of mining permit No L.MK/321109 for the almond deposit of the Kyduküla quarry. The period of validity of the mining permit is to be extended for a period of 15 years.

The sandy quarry of the hay village is located in the district of Tartu, in the municipality of Elva, in the private area of Kyduküla, in the cadastral district of Kruusamäe (register number 2624604, cadastral mark 69402:004:0047, intended use of 100% mining land) in the sandy fields of the village (register number 0818).

The mountain area of the abundance quarry is 0.81 ha and that of the mountain quarry is 1.78 ha. As of 31.03.2016, the active consumption of aggregate sand associated with mining reserves was 31.85 thousand m ³, of which 20,85 thousand m ³ are mined. The use of the mineral resource is the construction and filling soil. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for is 14.12.2034.

The decision to initiate the procedure for applications for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest office of the Environment Agency (tel 776 2419, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
