Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency notifies that the application for modification and extension of Mineral MINERAL MINING permit No HARM-071 submitted by the public limited company express carrier (registry code: 10111516) (address Harju County, Harku Municipality, Harkujärve village, Lake Sea Road 1, 76902) has been accepted (registered in the Environment Agency document Management system 14.12.2018 under number 12-2/18/20323).

THE HIGH-SPEED CARRIER OF the public limited company requests the modification of the mountain allocation of the Mountain gravel base of the Kalda deposit and the extension of mining permit HARM-071 by 15 years.

The mountain gravel quarry is located in the municipality of Saue, Harju, in the State-owned cadastral parcel of Mäepealse (cadastral Identifier 51801:001:0281), managed by the Ministry of the Environment and the Delegated Authority of the Maa-amet. The area of the mountain allocation is 10,93 ha and that of the service area of the mountain allocation is 25,14 ha. As of 01.06.2018, within the limit of the mountain allocation applied for, the active consumption of the building gravel is 414 thousand m3, of which 399 thousand m3 are mined. The average annual mineral extraction rate is 30 hrs m3.

until a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation for mining and quarrying, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the e-mail address info@keskkonnaamet.ee or to the postal address Viljandi mnt 16, 11216 Tallinn.

The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
