Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for mining authorisation submitted by Mainer OÜ (registry code: 14267391) (address Harju County, Tallinn, Mustamäe County, Mustamäe tee 161-4, 12913) was granted.

Mining authorisation is sought for a privately owned cadastral parcel of ferries (cadastral identification 29201:003:0104) in the village of LAU in the municipality of Kehtna, County Rapla (registry card 0066).

The area of the mountain deposit for the Sillaotsa sandy pasture applied for is 10.64 ha and that of the service area for the mountain deposit is 11.64 ha. The extracted minerals are, according to the application, building sand and the intended use of the minerals is the construction of roads and general roads. According to the application for mining authorisation, as of 05.12.2018, the active consumption of building sand for mining reserves is 75 thousand m3, the passive consumption is 35 thousand m3 and the average annual mining rate for the margin of 75 thousand m3 is, according to the application, 5 thousand m3. Authorisation to exploit mineral resources is sought for a period of 15 years.

until a decision is taken on the granting or refusal of mining authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the info@keskkonnaamet.ee e-mail address or to the postal address Tallinna mnt 14, PK 5, 79513, Rapla.

The preparation of the draft mining permit will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the official publication Ametlikud Teadaanded.
