Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the OSAÜHING MOREEN (registry code: 10353946) (address Piiritoa, village of Kaavere, Municipality of Põltsamaa, 48006 District of Jõgeva) submitted an application for authorisation to exploit the mineral resources of the Mountain deposit of the gravel quarry Lõhmus III. The requested Lõhmus III gravel quarry is located in the municipality of Tartu, Tartu, in the village of Valmaotsa, on private land, in the cadastral parcel of the study (register part No 4550704, cadastral mark 38301:002:0269, the target area being 10% for mining land and 90% for arable land) in the gravel area of Lõhmus (vessel II) (register card No 0271).

The mountain allocation of the Lõhmus III gravel quarry has an area of 3.68 ha and the service area of the mountain quarry is 4.47 ha. As of 01.01.2018, the active consumption of the building gravel associated with mining reserves was 98 thousand m ³, of which 90 thousand m ³ are mined and 95 thousand m ³ of the active consumption of the building sand, of which 87 thousand m ³ are mined. The exploitation of mineral resources is the construction and construction of roads. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 15 years.

The decision to initiate the procedure for applications for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest office of the Environment Agency (tel 776 2419, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
