Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency reports that THE OSAÜHING MOREEN (registry code: 10353946) (address Piiritoa, village of Kaavere, Municipality of Põltsamaa, 48006 District of Jõgeva) submitted an application for authorisation to exploit the mineral resources of the mountain range of Kalev's sandy quarry. The requested mountain allocation for the Kalev sandpasture is located in the village of Jõgeva, Jõgeva, in the municipality of Patjala, in private land, in the cadastral parcels Ennus (registration Division No 880935, cadastral Identification No 24802:006:0647 and 24802:006:2032, intended use arable land 100%), Lukka (registration Division No 1949535, cadastral Identification No 24802:006:0382, intended use of extractive radius No 95:00100%.

The area covered by the mountain allocation to the fish fallow is 11.38 ha and the area covered by the mountain allocation is 16.88 ha. As of 01.04.2018, the active consumption of building sand associated with mining reserves was 1322 thousand m ³, of which the extracting stock was 880 thousand m ³. An average annual extraction rate of 59 h m3 is requested. The exploitation of mineral resources is the construction and construction of roads. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 15 years.

The decision to initiate the procedure for applications for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest office of the Environment Agency (tel 776 2419, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at https://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
