The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).
The Environment Agency States that the request submitted by Vestur (registry code: 10247279) (address: Tamsalu mnt 1, lesser Maarja subbasin, Municipality of lesser Maarja, Municipality of West Virumaa 46202) to amend the mining permit L.MK.LV-38053 for the Salla PEAT PRODUCTION area has BEEN accepted.
The area of ladder peat production is located in the village of Käru in the municipality of lesser Maarja in Lääne-Viru, on land owned by the Republic of Estonia, in the area of ladder peat production (cadastral identification 16101:003:0061) and in the town of Triigi 52 (cadastral identification 16101:003:0690), managed by the Ministry of the Environment and the Delegated Authority for the Earth. The peat production area remains in the south of the Peetla peat station (registry card No 0238).
The purpose of the application is to increase the area served by mining reserves and reduce the area covered by mining reserves, to adjust mineral resources, to increase the maximum annual mining rate from 10 thousand tonnes to 24 thousand tonnes, to extend the permit by 30 years and to change the trend towards the restoration of woodland and wetlands from renewable sex.
The request for amendment of the mining permit and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest Office of the Environment Agency.
The application shall be digitally accessible in the http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/ system of the Environment Agency
until the decision to amend the permit is taken, everyone shall have the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the following e-mail address: info @keskkonna amet or postal address: Tallinna 22, Kuressaare, the municipality of Saaremaa, the island district 93819.
The draftsman of the draft decision amending the mining permit shall be further informed by the authorising authority in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
