Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency reports that, following an application by AS YIT Eesti (registry code: 10093801) (address Harju County, Tallinn, Central City district, Pärnu mnt 102b, 11312), the Environment Agency has accepted an application for extension of the validity of the mining permit for the mineral reserves of the Piuga gravel quarry, No HARM-104 (L.MK/317840) (registered under document management system of the Environment Agency 13.11.2018 as document No 12-2/18/18441 supplemented by document No 18.2.02/2019-19/12-03:2019). Mining authorisation HARMON-104 (L.MM/317840) is valid until 21.10.2019. The period of validity of the mining permit is to be extended for a period of 15 years.

The pile gravel quarry is located in Harju county, Rae county, Aruvalla village, Piuga gravel deposit (registry card No 0796) on the cadastral parcel of the Piedi gravel quarry (cadastral mark 65303:003:0661), managed by the Ministry of the Environment and authorised by the Land Authority. The use of the land is for 100%
of mining land
The surface area of the mountain deposit of a peg gravel quarry is 2.15 ha and the surface area of the mountain deposit is 11.56 ha. As of 31.12.2018, the active consumption of the building gravel associated with the mountain allocation amounted to 35,297 thousand m ³. The purpose of the mineral resource is construction, road construction and renovation. The extension of the permit is requested until 21.10.2034.

The request for amendment of the mining permit and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest Office of the Environment Agency.
The application shall be digitally accessible in the https://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/ system of the Environment Agency

until the decision to amend the permit is taken, everyone shall have the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the e-mail address info@keskkonnaamet.ee or to the postal address Viljandi mnt 16, 11216 Tallinn.

The draftsman of the draft decision amending the mining permit shall be further informed by the authorising authority in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
