Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that THE request submitted by RONK OÜ (registry code: 11005130) (address: Järvekalda tee 1, Harkujärve village, Harku Municipality, 76902 Harju County) for amendment of the environmental permit for the extraction of the mineral resources of a thermal forest gravel quarry (HARMON-140) (“the mining permit”) (registered under document management system 06.02.2019 under document number 12-2/19/91 of the Environment Agency) has been accepted.

RONK OÜ for A change in the quantity and quality of the building gravel and the aggregation sand ingots in the clay fence of the Mõisforest deposit.

The mountain allocation of a forest gravel quarry is located in the commune of Kos, Harju, county, on the State-owned cadastral parcel of the Concept Forest (cadastral Identifier: 33801:001:0897, register part: 79655950), whose management of State property is the Ministry of the Environment and the authorised authority of the Maa-amet.

The mountain allocation is 10,25 ha and its catchment area 18,83 ha. According to the application, on 30.09.2018, the active consumption of the building gravel of the mountain allocation is 473 thousand m ³ and the extracted stock is 432 thousand m ³ and the active consumption of the aggregate sand is 36 thousand m ³ and the extracted stock is 26 thousand m ³. The average annual mineral extraction rate is 42 thousand m ³ and the fields of use are construction and road construction.

until a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation for mining and quarrying, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the e-mail address info@keskkonnaamet.ee or to the postal address Viljandi mnt 16, 11216 Tallinn.

The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
