Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency reports that the Osaühing Eesti Killustik (registry code: 10126848) (address: Jõgeva County, Põltsamaa Municipality, Rõstla village, Rõstla quarry) submitted an application for authorisation to exploit the sandy quarry of Potsepa IV. Authorisation to exploit mineral resources is sought in the northern corner of the State-owned cadastral parcel of the Potsepa sandy deposit (cadastral identification 15905:001:0033) in the town of Pärnu, Pärnu County.

The mountain allocation applied for is 3.44 ha and its catchment area is 14.72 ha. Within the limit of the mountain allocation applied for, the active consumption of mineral aggregate sand is 140 thousand m ³, of which the extracted stock is 140 thousand m ³. The applications of mineral resources include the construction of roads and general roads. The mining company is named Eesti Klustik (registry code 10126848; address Rõstla paekivikarjäär of Rõstla, Municipality of Põltsamaa, 48022 Jõgevaa). The mining permit applied for is valid for 15 years.

The decision to initiate the procedure for applications for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest Office of the Environment Agency (tel 435 5621, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the info@keskkonnaamet.ee e-mail address or to the postal address Paala tee 4, 71014 iljandi.

The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
