Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency reports that Mainer OÜ (registry code: 14267391) (address: Mustamäe tee 161-4, Mayor of Mustamäe, 12913 Tallinn) submitted an application for authorisation to exploit the mineral resources of the Mountain deposit of the Tõrenurme sand quarry. The sand quarry applied for is located in the village of Tõrenurme in the municipality of Põltsamaa, Jõgeva, on private land in the cadastral block Kangru (register number 60235, cadastral mark 61606:002:0130, 100% earth use) in the sandstorm field (register number 0966).

The mountain area of the turf pastures is 0.79 ha and that of the mountain pastures is 1.44 ha. As of 01.01.2019, the active consumption of building sand associated with mining reserves was 17 thousand m ³, of which 13 thousand m ³ are mined. The use of the mineral resource is construction and road construction. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 5 years.

The decision to initiate the procedure for applications for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest office of the Environment Agency (tel 776 2419, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at https://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the following e-mail address: info@keskkonnaamet.ee or postal address: AIA 2, Jõgeva Municipality, Jõgeva Municipality, 48306 County of Jõgeva.

The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
