Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency reports that AS Tariston (registry code: 10887843) (address Pärnu mnt 158/1, city centre, Tallinn, 11317 Harju County) submitted an application for authorisation to exploit the mineral resources of the Tammiste sandpasture. The requested Tammiste sand quarry is located in the municipality of Tammiste in the municipality of Pärnu on the land of Tammiste in the cadastral estate of Surju Province 48 (register number 6818550, cadastral mark 73001:001:1395, intended use of 100% arable land) in the sandstone deposit of Tammiste (register number 0962). The State Treasury is the Ministry of Environment and the Trustee is the State Riigimetsa Majandamise Keskus.

The mountain deposit of the Tammiste sand pasture has an area of 24.79 ha and the service area of the mountain deposit is 24.79 ha. As of 01.01.2019, the active consumption of aggregate sand associated with mining reserves was 415 thousand m ³, of which 404 thousand m ³ are mined. The average annual rate of mineral extraction is 30 thousand m ³. The exploitation of mineral resources is the construction of roads and roads. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 15 years.

The decision to initiate the procedure for applications for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest office of the Environment Agency (tel 776 2419, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at https://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
