Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency notifies that AS YIT Eesti (registry code: 10093801) (address Harju County, Tallinn, Central City districts, Pärnu mnt 102b, 11312) is seeking to extend the catchment area of the Mineral allocation of Mineral reserves of the Mountain base of the Selli II gravel quarry licence No HARM-122.

The Chamber II gravel quarry is located in the village of Suuresta, Harju, in the municipality of Rae, on the land parcels “Annual stone” (cadastral mark 65303:003:0457) and “Annual stone” (cadastral mark 65303:003:0456), which belong to a private individual and are available to the mining operator, in the SEL gravel deposit (register card No 0382).

The mountain run-up area of the Mountain range II is 4,04 ha and that of the mountain run-off is 5,31 ha. As of 25.06.2013, the active consumption of the building gravel associated with the mining allocation was 167 thousand m ³, of which 144 thousand m ³ are mined, the active consumption of the building sand was 16 thousand m ³, of which 14 thousand m ³ are mined and the active consumption of the filling sand is 6 thousand m ³ mined 144 thousand m ³. The use of the mineral resource is the construction of roads. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for is 25.06.2023.

The decision to initiate the procedure for applications for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest Office of the Environment Agency.
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at https://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to amend or refuse to modify the mining permit, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the e-mail address info@keskkonnaamet.ee, 674 4803, or Viljandi mnt 16, 11216 Tallinn.

The draft decision amending the mining permit will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
