Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency reports that the CONSTRUCTION OF the ROADS of OÜ NURME (registry code: 11188001) (address: Kruusa, village Nurme, Municipality of Ttori, County Pärnu 85004) submitted an application for an amendment of the authorisation to exploit the mineral resources of the Eassalu V sandy quarry. Upon application, it is requested that the quarries of Eassalu V and Eassalu VI be merged. The duration of the combined permit is intended to remain the same as that of the existing Eassalu VI gravel quarry, 18.11.2033. The existing Eassalu V gravel quarry (both mountain and service area 19,99 ha) is situated directly west of the State-owned Eassalu quarry 5 (identifier: 15905:002:0287) and Eassalu or gravel quarry of 9,23 ha, including 5,12 ha, on the predominantly State-owned area of Audru forest 70 (identifier: 15905:002:0288).

The mountain allocation applied for is 24.06 ha and its catchment area is 29.21 ha. Within the limit of the mountain allocation applied for, the active consumption of the building gravel is 144.057 thousand m ³, of which the Mining stock is 144.057 thousand m ³, the active consumption of the building sand is 79.676 thousand m ³, of which the Mining stock is 77.676 thousand ³ and the active consumption of the aggregate sand is 266.987 thousand ³, of which the Mining stock is 258.987 thousand m ³. The average annual rate of mineral extraction is requested to be 33 thousand m ³, the fields of use being the construction of roads and general roads. The mining activity is indicated as the construction OF the ROADS of OÜ NURME (registry code 11188001; address is kruusa, village Nurme, Municipality of Ttori, County Pärnu 85004). The mining authorisation applied for is valid until 18.11.2033.

The decision to initiate the mineral extraction permit procedure and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest office of the Environment Agency (tel 435 5621, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at https://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
