Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for a mining permit for Nepste IV (“mining permit”) submitted by OÜ Tambira (registry code: 11686259) (address: Lindamäe, Pärnu City, 88310 Pärnu County) (registered under document management system 07.05.2019 under document number 12-2/19/342 of the Environment Agency) has been accepted.

The mountain allocation applied for is situated in the municipality of Häädemeeste, Pärnu, in the privately owned cadastral parcel of rust (cadastral identification: 21302:001:0016, register part: 2326806). The requested mountain allocation consists of 12 blocks of active consumable sand in the Nepste sandy deposit (registry card No 0951).

The area of the mountain allocation applied for is 10.98 ha and the area of that service is 10.98 ha. According to the mining authorisation application, as of 20.04.2019, the amount of active consumption of building sand from mining reserves is 244 thousand m ³ and the amount of extracted reserves is 230 thousand m ³. An average annual extraction rate of 16 thousand m ³ is requested for the extraction of the mineral resource, which uses the building sand. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 15 years.

The application is made available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at https://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee

until a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation for mining and quarrying, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the e-mail address info@keskkonnaamet.ee or to the postal address Viljandi mnt 16, 11216 Tallinn.

The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
