Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the OSAÜHING MOREEN (registry code: 10353946) (address Piiritoa, village of Kaavere, Municipality of Põltsamaa, 48006 District of Jõgeva) submitted an application for an amendment of the authorisation to exploit the mineral reserves of the Sopimetsa II limestone quarry. The mountain allocation of the sopimetsa II limestone quarry is located in the municipality of Põltsamaa, Jõgeva, in the village of Sopimetsa, on private land in the cadastral parcels Lippurpõllu (cadastral mark 61801:001:0174, register part 5734750), Kaasket (cadastral mark 57301:001:001:0028, register part 1862035), SAE (cadastral mark 57301:001:001:000032, registry division 1897990035), registry registry registry division FFITRadregistry number VITFAL. The company wishes to extend the existing mining provision to adjacent land.

The mountain area of the Sopforest II limestone quarry is 38,40 ha and the service area of the mountain quarry is 49,02 ha. As of 31.03.2019, the active consumption of building limestone associated with mining reserves was 1548,245 thousand m ³, of which the Mining stock was 1509,245 thousand m ³ and the active consumption of building doloc was 2599 thousand m3, of which the Mining stock was 2553 thousand m3. The average annual extraction rate is requested to be 200 thousand m3. The purpose of the mineral resource is construction, road construction and renovation. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be no more than 05.10.2040.

The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at https://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to amend or refuse to modify the mining permit, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. The draft decision amending the mining permit will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
