Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency reports that TMT pro OÜ (registry code: 11770735) (address: Pärnu County, Municipality of Häädemeeste, Reiu village, Posti tee 36) submitted an application for authorisation to exploit the sandy quarry of Eassalu VII.

The sand quarry applied for, Eassalu VII, with an area of 6.90 ha (including an area of the mountain reserve of 5.36 ha), is located in the town of Pärnu, Pärnu, in the village of Eassalu. The area applied for is situated on the State-owned area of Audru Forest Division 69 (identifier: 15905:002:0286), managed by the Ministry of the Environment and the AECE by the State Riigimetsa Majandamise Keskus. The mountain allocation applied for is 5.36 ha and its catchment area is 6.90 ha. TMT pro OÜ is designated as the mining operator.

The requested mountain allocation consists entirely of 16 blocks of active reserve for the filling sand of the Eassalu gravel deposit (registry card No 0206). Within the limit of the mountain allocation applied for, the active reserve of filler sand is 121 thousand m ³, of which the extracted stock is 117 thousand m3.

The applications of mineral resources include the construction of roads and general roads. The mining permit applied for is valid for 15 years. The target average annual extraction rate is 8 thousand m ³.

The decision to initiate the mineral extraction permit procedure and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest office of the Environment Agency (tel 435 5621, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at https://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
