Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency reports that the Osaühing Eesti Killustik (registry code: 10126848) (address: Jõgeva County, Põltsamaa Municipality, Rõstla village, Rõstla paekivikarjäär) submitted an application for authorisation to exploit the Sohlu gravel quarry.

The clay gravel is located in Pärnu County, North Pärnu County, pavement on the territory of the village, including part of the state-owned property located in Vändra County 48 (cadastral Identifier 63801:001:0068), which is intended for arable land, as the manager of the
Ministry of Environment and Centre for State Riigimetsa Majandamise Keskus authority. The same land is surrounded by the majority of the quarry applied for, but the land named Reinu (cadastral Identifier 27601:003) remains in the south-west.

The mountain allocation applied for is 21.37 ha and its catchment area is 24.07 ha. Within the limit of the mining allocation applied for, the active consumption of the mineral building gravel is 415 thousand m3, of which the extracted stock is 404 thousand m3 and the active consumption of the building sand is 74 thousand m3, of which the extracted stock is 70 thousand m3. Mineral resources are intended for use in the preparation of building blends and for use in road and civil engineering works. The mining company is named Eesti Klustik (registry code 10126848; address Rõstla paekivikarjäär of Rõstla, Municipality of Põltsamaa, 48022 Jõgevaa). The mining permit applied for is valid for 10 years.

The decision to initiate the mineral extraction authorisation procedure and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest office of the Environment Agency (tel 435 5621, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is made available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at https://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/

until a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation for mining and quarrying, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the info@keskkonnaamet.ee e-mail address or to the postal address Paala tee 4, 71014 iljandi.

The draft mining permit grant will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the official publication Ametlikud Teadaanded.
