The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency reports that the aktsiaselts Tootsi Turvas (registry code: 10021374) (address Pärnu County, Pärnu City, Pärnu City, Papiniidu tn 5-Büroomaja 1, 80010) submitted an application for amendment of the mining permit for the cod production area of Hiiesoo (IVIM-006) L.MK.IV-55900.

The limited company Toottsi Turvas seeks an extension of the mining permit for the peat production area of Hiiesoo for 30 years of crown and an adjustment of the limits of the service area of mining reserves and mining reserves.

The hall peat production area is located in the municipality of Lüganus in Ida-Viru, the village of Aidu-sand, in the Puhatu deposit (registry card number 0198), on two properties owned by the same name, the Hiiesoo peat field (cadastral references 44901:002:0721 and 44901:002:0723). The management of the public property of both properties is the Ministry of the Environment and the authorised authority is the Maa-amet.

The area covered by the application for hill reserves in the Hiiesoo peat production area is 126.41 ha and the area covered by the provision for hill and mountain areas is 358.71 ha. According to the application for mining authorisation, as of 01.01.2019 the active consumption of low-sloping peat in the Hiiesoo peat production area is 224 thousand t, of which 224 thousand t is mined, and the active consumption of well-developed peat is 156 thousand t, of which 78 thousand t is mined. the maximum annual mining rate for mineral resources is proposed to be 30 thousand. The mining permit applied for is valid for 30 years.

The application for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest office of the Environment Agency (tel 674 4803, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at https://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to amend or refuse to modify the mining permit, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the e-mail address info@keskkonnaamet.ee or to the postal address Viljandi mnt 16, Tallinn 11216.

The draft decision amending the mining permit will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
