Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for authorisation to exploit the Railway sand quarry submitted by AS YIT Eesti (registry code: 10093801) (address Harju County, Tallinn, Central City district, Pärnu mnt 102b, 11312) has been accepted.

The sand quarry applied for is situated in the municipality of Alutagus in the municipality of Ida-Viru, in the village of Kuremäe, in the Raudi sandpastry (registry card No 0707), in the State-owned cadastral block Kruusamäe (cadastritunnus 22901:003:0130), managed by the Ministry of the Environment and an authorised authority by the State Forest Management Centre.

The area covered by the mountain allocation to the railway sandy pasture is 12,55 ha and the area covered by the mountain allocation is 14,79 ha. On 31.12.2018, the stock of building sand associated with mining reserves was 932 thousand m ³. The average annual mineral extraction rate is 63 thousand m ³. The planned area of use of the resource is general construction and road construction and renovation. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 15 years.

The application for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest office of the Environment Agency.
The application shall be digitally accessible from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency https://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/

until a decision on the granting or refusal of mining authorisation has been taken, everyone shall have the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the e-mail address info@keskkonnaamet.ee or to the postal address Viljandi mnt 16, Tallinn 11216.

The preparation of the draft mining permit will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
