Notice of initiation of a prospecting permit procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice pursuant to paragraph 30(2) of the Land Law (MaaPS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for authorisation to SP for the exploration room in study area V of the Concept Forest submitted by SP Mets OÜ (registry code: 10921586) (address: SAE, village SAE, Municipality Kose, Municipality of Harju, 75016) has been accepted.

The application for a geological survey is made for arable land in Kuuru Forest (cadastral identification: 36302:002:0504, 100% arable land), a property owned by private owners in Kos, Harju County). Part of the Kuuru forest is included in the research area of forest V. The area covered by the requested survey room is 10,92 ha.

The geological survey shall be carried out with a view to establishing the geological design of the exploration room, the thickness of the useful layer, the distribution and quality of the mineral resources and the conditions under which it is carried out, making it possible to evaluate the mineral as an active consumable resource in order subsequently to apply for authorisation to exploit the mineral resources in that area. This is a consumables survey, which plans to build up up up to 35 wells and up to 35 exploration cavities. The research depth is up to 15 m. in addition, the study is intended to carry out the following ad hoc work: water level measurements, m determination of the steel composition of the material and of the filtration module, determination of the physical and mechanical properties of the gravel, topographical measurement by the operator of the study is THE OÜ Engineering firm STEIGER (registration code: 112 06437, address: Männiku tee 104, Tallinn, 11216 Harju County). The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 3 years.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation for a prospecting operation, any person shall have the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to an e-mail address in info@keskkonnaamet.ee or to a postal address at Viljandi Road 16, Tallinn, 11214 Harju County.

The draft prospecting permit shall be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
