Notice of initiation of the environmental permit procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the request submitted by AS Tariston (registry code: 10887843) (address Toompuiestee 35, Noord Tallinn, Tallinn, 10133 Harju County) for extension of the mining permit for the sandy quarry of Sõmeru has been granted.

The mountain allocation of the Sõmeru sand quarry is located in the municipality of Kose, Harju, on a private property, the Põldmäe (cadastral identification: 33801:001:0142), which includes it in part.

The mountain allocation of the Sõmeru sandy pasture has an area of 8,16 ha and the service area of the mountain deposit is 11,49 ha. The average annual mineral extraction rate is 40 thousand m3. The exploitation of mineral resources consists of road, environmental and general construction works. Building sand for use in road drainage layers. Filling sand for use in the construction of road embankments and in the filling of earth. Building gravel for use in the construction of embankments, filling and drainage works and for the production of crushing gravel, including crushing.

The request is for an extension by 8 years of the Sõmeru of validity of mining authorisation No. HARMON-105 (L.MK/318652) for the deposit of the Sõmeru sandy pasture.

The request for amendment of the environmental permit and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest office of the Environment Agency.
The application shall be digitally accessible in the http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/ system of the Environment Agency until

the decision to grant or refuse an environmental permit is taken, everyone shall have the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the e-mail address info@keskkonnaamet.ee or to the postal address Viljandi mnt 16, Tallinn, 11216 Harju County.

The draft decision amending the environmental permit shall be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
